"Your book reminded me of the heartbreak the victim suffers due to the breach of trust. During the first few years that I conducted investigations, I made it a point to verbally hug the victims. I ensured that the victims felt safe and secure during the investigation and understood that it was normal to feel betrayed, hurt and angry. However, of late, I see that I conducted investigations, presented my findings, got confessions, turned the cases over to HR/law enforcement, and ran to the next case. I forgot the victims. Thank you for reminding me to slow down and give the victims a hug, even if it is just over the phone." Sharon Tibbits, CFE
